Privacy Policy for Smart Passport Photo

Effective date: 8 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Everestellar Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Smart Passport Photo mobile application (the "App").

The App helps users create passport and ID-style photos using tools such as camera capture, image cropping, background replacement, compliance assistance, print layout generation, and optional analytics and advertising services.

1. Who We Are

Controller / App Publisher: Everestellar Limited

2. Information We Process

A. Photos and image data you choose to use in the App

When you take a photo with the camera or select a photo from your device library, the App processes the image so you can crop it, detect a face, remove or replace the background, adjust brightness/contrast/saturation, and generate export or print layouts.

Important: By default, passport photos and edited images are processed locally on your device for core editing features. We do not upload your passport photos to our servers unless we later add a cloud feature and update this policy accordingly.

B. Device and app usage information

We may collect limited technical and usage information to understand app performance, improve reliability, diagnose crashes, measure feature use, and support the App. This may include:

C. Advertising-related information

If the App shows ads, we may use third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob. Ad providers may process certain information to deliver, limit, measure, or improve advertising.

Depending on your configuration, this may include advertising identifiers, approximate device information, ad interaction events, and other data described by the advertising provider's own privacy documentation.

3. Third-Party Services We May Use

The App may integrate one or more of the following services:

These third parties may process data under their own privacy terms. Their processing may vary depending on your device settings, region, consent status, and the exact SDK configuration used in the App.

4. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

5. Legal Bases for Processing (UK / EEA users)

If UK or EEA data protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

6. App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and Tracking

On Apple devices, we may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework if the App is configured to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Recommended launch approach: If you want a simpler approval path, configure ads as non-personalized / limited ads and do not request ATT at launch.

If ATT permission is not granted:

If ATT permission is granted:

7. Firebase Analytics

If enabled, Firebase Analytics helps us understand how the App is used, such as which screens are viewed, which features are most helpful, and whether users encounter errors or drop-off points.

Firebase Analytics may automatically collect certain app-instance, device, and event information as described in Firebase documentation. We use this information to improve the product experience and app stability.

Where required by law, analytics collection should be enabled only after the appropriate consent or privacy choice has been obtained.

8. AdMob and Advertising

If the App includes AdMob, ads may appear in places such as banners or rewarded placements. Rewarded ads are optional and are shown only when the user chooses to view them in exchange for an in-app benefit, where applicable.

AdMob may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, app interaction data, approximate location derived from IP, and other advertising-related data, depending on configuration and user permissions.

For more information, please review Google's privacy information and any consent options presented in the App.

9. User Privacy Choices

You may have the following choices, depending on your device, region, and App configuration:

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell your passport photos. We may share limited information in the following cases:

11. Data Retention

Photos you edit are generally stored only on your device unless you choose to save or export them. Analytics, diagnostics, and advertising-related data may be retained for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to third-party provider retention practices and applicable law.

13. International Transfers

Some third-party providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by law, such as contractual protections or other approved transfer mechanisms.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
